Fruits of Our Labor

We planted a garden again this year, and we have an over-reaching, over-producing grape tomato and cucumber. This is our first try at both and we've decided next year we'd best hope our neighbors don't grow cucumbers, or we shouldn't if they do. The plant produces too many to keep up with! We did zucchini again, but fewer, and we also have bell peppers and regular tomatoes. The spinach and lettuce mix did nothing in the window boxes this year, too much rain maybe? Perhaps I should've totally replaced the soil now that I think about it. Anyway, our small garden is still easy to maintain and fruitful. We love growing our own food and cooking with what we've grown. If we could we'd take a cue from the Beekman Boys and grow much, much more! Maybe someday...
